Judy Moody was in a Mood

My book review of

Judy Moody was in a Mood

Judy Moody was in a Mood is a great book by Megan McDonald. It makes me want to read more and makes me laugh. It is an exciting book and I think anyone who reads it will love it.

This book is about a girl called Judy but she is always in a mood.

The story begins at Judy’s house. It was the first day of school and Judy was in a mood. Not a normal mood, a bad mood. It had been the holidays, Judy says that she has done nothing and just remembered that everyone will be showing off where they have been and have a top saying Disney or sea world, then dad reminded her of what she did then dad says “you ate a shark” she smiled she had an idea! She got an old T-shirt and a marker then she wrote I ATE A SHARK in capitals. Read the story to find out more!

My favourite characters are Judy and Rocky because they are good friends, play tricks on people and are a little bit CRAZY!!!!!!!

My favourite part of the book is my new pet.

Judy wanted a new pet so her mum and dad took her to get one, then when they get to the pet shop Judy say’s “there is nothing I like here”. Then Judy finds something with sharp teeth and is green she loved it, It was a Venus flytrap named Jaws.

This is a fantastic book for any children 7 years and over, because it is a good length book, is funny and things in her life could happen in mine. This is a book is for boys and girls and you should like it.

Playtime

Playtime is a time when we play and chat to each other, and it’s my favourite lesson of the day! We have it twice a day and it is about half an hour long.

Me and NG learn our dance routine. And sometimes we play with EP and MO, for example I will be Bluebell, NG will be Hermione, EP will be Kelsi, and MO will be Lily. We pretend to be the characters and make up a story as we go along.

Teachers

In Reception we had Miss Sargent, who was a bit strict. In Year One we had Miss Wilmer, who was kind and gentle. In Year Two we had Miss Sargent again, but this time she wasn’t as strict. And now we have Mr Burnett, who’s been the best teacher yet, because he is very kind and we have learnt a lot from him.

UNICEF thank Christ Church

Well done to all of year three for creating some really persuasive writing and to everyone at Christ Church for the money we were able to raise for UNICEF. In recognition of your work UNICEF wrote to us to thank you all.

“We are incredibly grateful that money raised by your students will be supporting our work. On behalf of the children who will benefit from the money raised: thank you.

UNICEF is the world’s leading organisation focusing on children with a presence in more than 190 countries. We receive no funding from the UN budget, and so we rely totally on voluntary donations like yours to fund our vital work for children.

A UNICEF school-in-a-box will help at least 40 children continue their education in times of emergency and conflict. Materials for an entire classroom are packed into a large portable aluminium case, including a solar/wind-up radio and even an inflatable globe for geography lessons. The inside lid of the box doubles as a blackboard when coated with the special paint included in the kit. The kit also contains resources for teachers and allows for double-shifts for classes so that more children can benefit.

It is fantastic that you have raised enough money to buy not one, but two of these resources for children. Please give yourself a huge round of applause.

With many thanks from

Kerry McMenamin – Fundraising Officer for Schools, UNICEF UK”

What needs to be done?

What needs to be done?

Our dream every day is to give every child an education but 75million are trapped by poverty and don’t have breakfast to give them the energy because you know what needs to be done. We are lucky to have an education but not the whole world has an education but we are trying to give everyone the right to have an education also we can change a big future of their lives and this is a great battle we can win.

Syrian struggle for survival

Syrian struggle for survival

There is a terrible war in Syria; the political building is doing horrible things to the Syrians including killing innocent people, read on to find out!!!

Many schools have been knocked down because off war, Bashar al Assad has been seen throwing aced and poison on his people. Nearly 3 million children do not get an education due to war about 12% of those children are working in war 31% of  Syrian  children do get an education. The UN has thought of an idea called a school in a box which includes clocks, exercise books, teacher resources and stationary. Sasha from Syria she says she wants to finish the 6th grade of school.

Health

The health is also really bad people are living in appalling conditions no one has any food at all. We would personally like you, yes you, to help people who do not get an education, imagine what you would feel like. Well if now you do want to help give money to charities’ like UNCEIF.

Review by MF

Write an introduction

Children put a tooth under their pillow and wake up to find something unspeakable under their pillow. It’s not what the usual tooth fairy brings…

What is the book about?

A horrid dentist called Miss Root who has a cat called Fang. A boy called Alfie wants to know what she’s up to and tries to find out with his friend called Gabz. (Gabz is bright and knows a lot.) Gabz drew a map of where this something or somebody snatches a tooth and leaves a blood curdling thing (like a bloody spider) behind it. Who is behind all of this?…

What was your favourite part or character

Alfie is small and bright and he screams when he sees or hears scary things. I like him a lot.

Who would you recommend the book to?

My friends school/class.
